With the theme “Multi-colored Train”, the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City Orchid Festival in 2025 is expected to take place from April 29 to May 3, 2025 at Tao Dan Park (District 1).
According to information from the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, the city will organize the Orchid Festival on April 30. This is one of a series of events towards the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975). At the same time, it is an opportunity to introduce and promote orchid species with high economic value; gather and introduce orchid varieties, flower varieties, ornamental plants, OCOP products, typical products of Ho Chi Minh City as well as other provinces and cities. Thereby, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to visit Ho Chi Minh City.

With the theme “Multi-colored Train”, the exhibition space of the 3rd Orchid Festival is inspired by the Thong Nhat train departing at the same time and on the same day of December 31, 1976 at Hanoi and Saigon stations. Accordingly, the image of the North-South train combined with the metro will be the main axis leading to special train stations, connecting the past – present – future at the exhibition.
The exhibition is divided into 6 stations, showing highlights according to each region, including Green Mountain and Blue Water Station (Northern region); Poetic Beauty Station (Central Coast); Great Breath Station (Central Highlands); City of 50 Flower Seasons Station (Southeast); Romantic River Station (Southwest) and Green City – Future City Station (HCMC).
According to information from the organizing committee, within the framework of the Orchid Festival, there will be an orchid competition in Ho Chi Minh City. The contest is expected to have about 500 orchid samples, divided into 7 main groups, including Dendrobium lightning orchid, common Dendrobium orchid, small Cattleya orchid, large Cattleya orchid, slipper orchid, wild orchid, and mixed orchid.
